Cheese, anyone?
All right. I've got a couple small tanks that once had ich in them. For these, and all my filters that were also affected, here's the ??. I know Ich can't live for more than 2 weeks in 86+ degree water. But how hot can Ich survive? There's nothing in these tanks. If I fill them with 100 degree water, will it kill the remaining Ich within minutes? Or does Ich die without water? Will boiling water do it? How hot does it have to be? I want to make sure all the ich is gone before I use these tanks again. What's the best way? TIA

I'd drain the tanks and let them dry. Then rinse them with a weak bleach/water solution. Rinse them thoroughly with water before reusing them. That will take care of ich and anything else that's in there. If you don't want to drain them, just let them sit with no fish for a few weeks...ich will die without a host.
