Not a chance. The rams wont survive. Most shell dwellers like multis are one of the meanest fish there are.

I wouldn't do it. I mean, anything is trial and error. Your best shot would be finding a semi-aggressive Cichlid from lake tang. The problem is most cichlids will eat anything smaller than them, and a majority of cichlids from that area grow larger than Shellies.

A good community of Shellies can look beautiful on their own, however.

Considering their size, I would say yes. However, in the first couple of weeks check your water levels. If you are high then you are overstocked.

4-6 should be okay though.

Rams are fun though make it a ram tank if you like, it's all up to you. This is called aquarium advice you know.
