Stressed Dwarf Gourami

I think my gourami is stressed because of the cichlids I have in there but I don't know what to do. I don't have another tank...

your going to have to get rid of either the gourami or the africans. what size tank is this? if its anything less than 55 you will need to get rid of the cichlids

No cichlids, they will destroy the DG

Plus, Africans need a minimum if 50 gallons

Call your LFS and ask if you can return them and explain why. Most stores will take fish back.

I'd try to get that trade done soon. Dwarf gourami are very sensitive, shy fish that do not do well with any kind of stress. Even too much current is too much for them. They have an alarming tendency to die with little warning, for no apparent reason. Yours is in hell right now, so I hope the store will trade him for you.

Typically you won't get full price for credit.. usually half the selling price is the best you can hope for, unless they do a direct trade for another fish instead. Good luck.
