Synodontis catfish

Really stupid question. Is a synodontis eupterus just a fancy name for feather fin? I bought two today and they are quite small but don't look like normal featherfin.

Synodontis Eupterus is a scientific name. Take a look at this page and see if it looks like what you have.

Yours look like synodontis nigriventis (fancy name for upside down catfish )

Alright haha that'd make sense bought them thinking they were a regular synodontis but I love how they are so much more active

Sorry for a delayed response but looked into the nigriventris species and at a young age they def looked like it but now that these synos are about 5 inches already and their colors changed drastically they are definitely featherfin. Which surprised me as they started growing
