T5HO Retrofit

I just finished the T5HO retrofit of my 29 gallon tank

I will post some pics in a bit, but the first thing to say is

WOW

I replaced a 2x 96watt PC setup with a 2x24 watt T5HO 6500k setup and although it's not brighter than the 192 watts of PC, it is a lot brighter than a single PC, and takes less energy to boot

the color is a better balanced white not as blue as the 6700k pc's, and everything looks a lot 'sharper' and better defined... the light is not nearly as diffuse as the PC bulbs.

all in all I'm stoked

nay sayers can still say nay but I'm sold!

did you get the icecap ones or sunlight supply ones. also are you using the 6500k bulbs.

the bulbs are ATI, the endcaps are Icecap, the ballast is Fulham Workhorse 7

yes, the bulbs are 6500 Kelvin color-temp
