I am getting ready to set up my new 40g long and 50g long tanks and have decided to paint a background on one of them. My girlfriend is a tattoo artist so she will be the one painting everything. I am mainly looking for ideas of what to use as a background. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I personally don't like backgrounds. They confuse my fish! So maybe have some cool swirls or something?
