I asked for opinions on a heater about a month ago (can't believe it that. November has flown by!). I was torn between Aqueon Pro and Eheim Jager. I finally went with the Jager and it's been the best purchase I've made for my aquariums.

I find the Visi therm heaters are exceptional.Never had a problem or breakdown.My origional is 5 years old now and still going strong.They come with heat guards as standard too which is a real bonus.

I've got an aqueon 300 watt and it works good other than being inaccurate. I have mine set at like 70 but keeps my 125 at 78ish. Not the ambient air temp in my house either I keep it 68 during the day.

Hmm, my aqueon is set at 82 and keeps mine at 79ish. But my house is at 66 degrees, so i guess it has to work hard to heat the water 12 degrees above room temp.
