I've just sold my 6ft marine tank and bought another larger tank, the tank is 6.5x2.5x2 ft 900 litre tank, 12mm thick glass I have been wanting a big tank with peacock bass in for a few years now, I have also got a 5x2x2 sump to go with the tank so the tanks water volume is 1300 litres. I have set it up today (sand in and filled with water) dechlorinated the water and installed sump & filter. Now I'm no beginner to keeping cichlids just never had peacock bass. What I want to know Is should I use any decor ? Or keep the tank space for the fish? I have a friend who breeds Pbass in a 10x10x5 ft pond and he can get me the fish no problem. I search the Internet and there isn't much on keeping them in a home aquarium? So I was hoping a few of you on here can give me a bit of advice at the minute I have got a small ghost carp in the tank to start the cycle off
