I had 2 very small coldwater plecs,
aka The Chinese Hillstream Loach, Pseudogastromyzon myers

Now, i didn't see one of them for about 3 days so i had a little peep round the tank, left it another day.

Yesterday i thought i'd do a full clean out of the tank, so i removed everything except for the gravel and the other plec.

Now... i CANNOT find the plec anywhere!? There's no way of it getting out the tank and the other fish in the tank are too small and/or not quick enough to catch the little thing?

If it died, surely it can't have decomposed in the space of 3 days?

help lol![/i]

Is there any way it may have jumped out of the tank? Do you have any other pets that may have carried it off? What other fish, fish often eat dead fish.

3 fancy goldfish but like i said very small! and the 2nd plec (also very small)

The tank has a full sealed hood on it, and it would be impossible for it to escape!

My mum had a plec (or hillstream loach perhaps) which also just vanished, and again it was in a sealed tank (one of those FishRfun hex. tanks), where it went is to this day a complete mystery!!! No body, no decomposing remains, nothing!!! Just gone... 8O

yerp checked everything.. plants, decor, filters, even had the gravel up
