Treats for plecos

I have been watching my pleco and was wondering what types of treats I can give him. I heard watermelon. Will watermelon sink? Are there any foods that are toxic to plecos?

Zucchini or cucumber are popular, I use canned green beans because they're more convenient for feeding a couple hundred BN. Lettuce is a waste, yam or sweet potato slices last longer IME.

Thanks. Can you just open the can and feed? Or is any other prep needed?

Canned beans are already cooked, I just drain the water and drop them into the tanks. Unlike zucchini or yam slices they sink w/out weights.
