Using Flash? :/

Hi, I’m not sure if this counts as the right thing to be posting here but I saw photos and was like okay I’ll try. My question is, is it okay to sometimes use flash for fish photos? I get kinda scared to use it.

Flash are fine .
Some of the new crazy plant lights have lightning modes where the light flashes randomly...Crazy huh ?
The problem is the reflection from flash..I try to be a little 'aside' [at an angle] so the flash angles off instead of reflecting back into picture .

I use flash on most of my aquarium photos. It eliminates the need to use super high ISOs, which results in reduced image quality. And it also eliminates blur from shutter speeds too slow. The trick to making the lighting look good and natural is off camera flash if you can. See my thread
