Wanting an oddball freshwater fish

I want to get some ideas for a more exotic/oddball species of fish i could put in a tank with a firemouth and 2 convicts and a needle nose gar. I would like to get one that can go in there with my stock and would also like for that fish to be around 4-6 inches.

Maybe a african butterfly I know they are different but I don't know about it with those fish maybe if I'm wrong somebody will correct me.

1 red fin tiger loach ( syncrossus berdmorei )
*possibly*- peacock eel
How does that sound ?
