Going to get a par38 bulb for my 10 gallon build. But I was wondering what wattage would be better for sps, Lps, and soft corals. 36w or 54w I don't want to over kill.

wattage per gallon doesnt apply to saltwater. its all about par readings and such. A good quality, reef recommended par38 should work on a 10 gallon.

I have the 54w par38 on my 10g but it's a tall tank. Some might say it's too much (my fixture is not dimmable which makes acclimation harder) but I love it!
