What are these?

sorry I don't have a camera, I'll try to describe them the best I can.

I have noticed these white spots on my rock and glass (about 1-2 mm in diamter) they apear as white spots with a curly-cue worm inside.. could these be baby snails or something different?

likely just small tube worms, filter feeders. Generally a sign of a new tank that is progressing well.
