What is his fish?

It was given to me by a friend. It is about 6 inches long

It's a cichlid of some sort... I know that.

Looks like a red devil or Midas ....if not then I'm way off lol..

He is I very vibrant yellow and his body shape and fun shape looks different than the electric yellows I have seen and he doesnt have the black fins

I am having a hard time with the pictures... but my first thought was an Astronotus ocellatus "Albino" and my second thought after looking farther would be an Amphilophus Citrinellus

I'm starting to think Hukit is right actually... my sa/ca/nw id skills are horrible, and my african id's aren't much better.

He ,or she, has completely re-scaped my tank and has started growing a lump that looks alot like the Midas just doesn't have quite as flowing fins of the pictures I have seen. Once again thanks for the help and maybe when I get the better pictures uploaded we will get a positive ID
