It's most likely coralline, great on your live rocks and a pain to remove from the glass.

Yes. If you scrape it off it help to spread to your rocks.

Not sure what your question is asking, but yes Coraline algae is good. It will spread over everything in your tank including rocks, glass, equipment, etc. It's a good thing to have and sometimes you just have to scrape it off your glass.

razor blades do a fine job at removing coraline from glass.
