There's alot of them on a couple pieces of my rock

It's not a sponge cause it moves around with the flow, so I guess macro. Is it fine to leave it there?
 
Yeah, it would be fine to leave it. Just keep an eye on it, some macros have a tendency to over-run a tank. It doesn't look like one of the types that will seed your whole tank though. Once it grows out a bit, you will be better able to ID it, just to be sure.
 
My guess is a type of Sargassum, which is a brown macro algae. Fairly slow growing, and prefer high lighting. And many fish and inverts think it's yummy.
