well i read that they are fine in any water considering they spend about 85% of the time out of the water anyways... mine are doing fine, growing like crazy. They are out of the water every time i look at them except after i feed, then they kind of jump off their rock and eat, then go back out of the water...

sadly i lost one tiger barb this morning but i have 8 left so its not that bad i guess and i think this is my favorit way i have had my tank set up so far
