Here are some pointers on a Striped Raphael....just in case.

They get large, 6-7 inches and should be in minimum 55 gallon tank.

They like to hide and are nocturnal, you can tell by their large eyes.

They like sand substrate to root around for their food. They are omnivores.

They are very peaceful and slow eaters.

With proper care they can live over 15 years...so far I have had mine for 5 years.

Here is a photo of mine, he is about 7 inches.

To be honest, I have never seen him eat, he eats in the dark. But he is very fat. I have a lot of nocturnal fish and I throw in frozen blood worms, frozen brine shrimp and flake foods. I also thrown in shrimp pellets. I did see him swallow a small algae wafer before.

The photo is when I was cleaning the tank...that is why he was out and mad...hahaha

And thanks for the compliment, he is one of my favorites...I also have a spotted Raphael who is a lot smaller but very beautiful...he is black with white spots....I never seen him though..he is 100% nocturnal and only comes out in pure darkness.
