kind of looks like a pumpkinseed sunfish to me. i always have a hard time telling what sunfish they are since there are like 50 different species of sunfish lol. if it is a bluegill for sure would you mind explaining how to tell it from other sunfish?
I believe the pictured Sunfish, is the very common "Green" variety. Blue gills have a steep forehead and a larger oval shape. The Pumpkinseed Sunfish in Oklahoma are on the smaller side and very colorful, sporting intense oranges and blues. Either way, fun to catch.
