I've got two amazon swords that have dying leaves due to anti-fungal med treatment. A few leaves are turning brown and yellow and look transparent. I think they leaves have to go. What's the best way to removes these leaves? Can I just snip the leaves off and leave the stem or should I remove the entire stem from the base?

I remove the whole stem w/leave as close to the base as I can get. The older leaves will die off on a regular basis and new ones will take their place. I belive this is just a natural process for swords.

since new leaves come off the old stem, wouldn't removing the entire stem prevent new leaves from forming?
