so someone help me out here - want to make sure my math is correct.

I have been adding kanamycin to my tank. directions say to add and then leave in for 5 days. do WC then add again for 5 more days. so I had water issues and had to start doing daily water changes. So I just want to make sure my math is good on this.
added first dose march 17 @430pm
added 2nd dose march 24 @830pm
then started having water issues so WC commenced...
march 26 @515pm
march 27 @ 415pm
march 28 @ 230pm

am I done or should I do one more dose? should i run carbon today or wait until tomorrow when I am sure I will have to do another water change?

thanks everyone!!

Is your water ok for today? If your not doing a wc today, I would do one more dose after tommorrows water change just to be sure & let that dose run for atleast 24hrs & then go from there- if I am understanding you correctly!

OK, so I added one more dose. think that will give me a full 5 days by the time I do tomorrow's WC. after that should I run the carbon or let whatever is left sit in there for another day?

so my final round of dosing looks like this (should be 5 days):
24 Mar @ 830pm
26 mar @ 515pm
27 mar @ 415pm
28 mar @ 230pm
29 mar @ 210pm

with wc on 30 mar around 200pm
wc on 31 mar and run carbon?

lable directions:
for aquariums: use 1/4tsp per 20 gallons of aquarium water every 24 hrs with a 25% WC before each treatment. treat at full strength with each application.
for aquariums larger than 50 gallons: 1/4 tsp per 20 gallons, once every 5 days with a 25% WC before each treatment. treat for 2 applications

Sounds good! I would not worry about running carbon yet. Let it sit in there for a day (or 2) until you do your next water change. This weekend run some carbon to remove any traces of the meds & hopefully, your tank will be back in order soon! :)
