My avatar! As I type she is defending the cave she has held since day 1!

aah, you have one of them "this is my cave and nobody else is welcome in it" fish

A White Widow & a Black Belt, love them both. This is definitely my favorite thread. Great fish, the Alphas are all really beautiful, not a runt in the bunch.

1 more. He's not the "Boss of the tank". Poseidon has that mantle but he is running a successful harem in the red-light district of the 180.

He is still young and he has 2 females holding now.

(Sorry for the shoddy pics. The particles in the water are from feeding time)

I call him Uncle Sam, since he's got that Red, White, and Blue going on lol. He doesn't start any fights, but everyone else knows better than to mess with him.

I love this thread, there are so many different, but amazing fish to see. And what a variety of fish that have become the bosses of our tanks. It's very interesting..

Unfortunately I sold this guy. I regret it every day. He killed all of his tankmates including his female. He even owned the room his tank was in. He would snap at anyone (except me) that walked in his room.

Space limitations. He was in a 48x24x24 (120g) till he was 11". These guys are open water predators and really need a minimum of a 180g. Now that I have more space I'm thinking about trying again.

With the encouragement of jetajockey, I converted my fiddler tank. Who's the boss? Who else?
