Actually, Yes, parent raising pairs breed less often than non raising pairs. If you want more fry more often, you would be better off removing the eggs soon after they are laid. This gives the parents more time to recuperate from the exercise.
How many pairs of Angels do you have going now Andy?
Too many!! As of this moment, I have 17 pairs that have spawned at least once, 1 pairing I am hoping will spawn together and about 5 or 6 other fish that have spawned before but I have separated the pairs in efforts to make other pairings. This is way too many for this set up I have. My biggest issue is that many of these pairs started during the dud fry phase so I can't be certain whether it's the newness of the pairs or the suspected diet issue that's keeping their fry from surviving.
You interested in some pairs? If you are, maybe we can meet at the GA/ FL border if you don't want to make the rest of the trip down. Actually, winter is coming to your area soon isn't it? Time for a Disney vacation?? It was 92 degrees today where I am. Nice winter weather for sure.
