Yellow Tang is faded looking

Just a question. My yellow tang I have had him about 2 yrs and eats like crazy. But he is not a bright as the yellow tangs i have seen. Any food that is know to help the yellow tangs keep their bright yellow color.

he is feed flakes in the mourning along with the algae clip every other day. The afternoons emerald entree and sometimes mysis shrimp. My PH is 8.3 and all other readings at what they should be. let me know if you need any other info.

Also, how big was he when you bought him? He could be getting old.

I would say stress..Anything new added to the tank, or something water related. Are the parameters off? Such as mentioned by lando?

Mine eats a variety diet and is very yellow.. Make sure that it is getting a lot of seaweed.. flakes are not as good.. they are continuous grazers.

Put some Calerpa in the tank if you can get it. Id also like to know size of tank.
