I suggest getting some more rocks to make more caves and hiding spaces. And I've heard bumblebees get too big for a 55gal which is what your tank looks like?

I suck at ID'ing (don't know enough to do so) so hopefully someone else can help ya with him.

Yes I'm planning on getting some aquarium safe marble... Just got to find the right color... And yes It is a 55 gal... Do you know what kind of chiclid the black and white is?

Nope, the only thing I can think of that is b/w like that is a convict but I don't know what they look like as juvies.

And 70gal+ is recommended for bumblebee so you may want to reconsider him.

Yea so do I... Google can't help me with this one... It was the only one big enough at the lfs that wouldn't get eaten by my bumble bee

I will be getting a 100+ gallon with the next few weeks and then my 55 gallon will be saltwater

Was told it looks like a HAP tangerine tiger as a juvenile...

Also will it hurt my fish if I use marble to build caves with?

Now I also have

2x jewel cichlids
1x unknown peacock(in the picture?

And he's the reason I got a fish tank... If it wasn't for him I would have never gotten the tank

We started our tanks for the same reason. Took a trip to the Baltimore aquarium and our 1 yr old was in love. It's amazing what you'll do to keep someone so little happy.

It's not so much the fish that keeps my 6 month old happy it's mainly the bubbles until my demasoni or kenyi catches his eye then he's in amazement... I thought I was just going to start it and not fools with it much but I spend more time messing with them then anything... My bumblebee and yellow lab will swim to the top and allow me to touch them and they won't eat much if anyone else feeds them but I can feed them as much as I want and it will all be gone in 5 minutes

I want a 55 gal coral with 3 yellow tangs and a few cleaner shrimp in it... It's was more appealing to the eyes

Haha thats funny my husbands bumble bee is the same way when we went on vaca i left my tanks in my sister care she said bumble just borrowed in the sand and hardly ate. Than after we got home and my hubby fed him he was swimming and eating like normal. I thought i was crazy but its amazing how these fish are sooooo smart. Btw ur son is adorable
