I have 2 ac filters and for some reason the media like to rise inside making the ceramic part rise so much it's then above the water level. The sponge and the carbon pads are the only things submerged. The whole grey basket itself rises inside the filter housing. Any tips on keeping them down...

I'm looking for another hose for my 2213 filter, bigals sells the correct item I need for .94 cents a foot. But I'm wondering if lowes sells a similar item that will work for aquariums or Is the hose that came with the filter something special for aquariums?
