Our only fish store is closing. So I guess we are on our own out here for now because I'm sure not going to open one. I'm way too cranky for the public anymore. I did like seeing what I was buying but our community isn't large enough to support a real SW store. Wish I could have joined your expedition.

Just a little update. I don't know if i touched on it, but this tank had the same crazy brown diatom-ish algae infestation the 300 had. It's finally lessening. I'm thinking it had something to do with the lighting. Once I swapped out the T5's for LED fixtures, it started lessening.

I also jumped in on an order with a friend and got a few more fish. I got a small Melanurus Wrasse, and a pair of black and white Percs.

The wrasse is hard to photograph thus far, but .....

I love the new adds, Doug. Yes, Wrasses can be very tricky sometimes! I was fortunate in the regard that my Sixline was not skeptical at all, and literally went up to the net, and sometimes in it! It made moving him a few years ago an easy task!

You're looking clamlishious. Someday I will figure out the mysterious clam. The new tank looks very nice. With wrasses, one of two things happen with me, either the wrasse does fine and gets big enough to be a bit of a pain, or they disappear on day one to never be seen again. Gone to the Bermuda Triangle that our socks and keys disappear in. They jump, so the open top may be a problem.

Yeah, I'm afraid the wrasse will jump, but I'm not going to cover a rimless tank. The beautiful thing about this tank is that it's rimless. I wish him the best of luck. I'm going to adjust the light and try to take some better pics today.

That's no good. I was worried for you when I saw you had put it in there. It just seemed like it was going to be a matter of time before it got out.

2 days with no sight of it, and boom, he's back out and eating. It's crazy that it passed up food for 2 days.
