Cool, pull some bio media from a cannister and fill the 10 with water from the 90.

For the eggs and fry just an air driven stone or sponge is best IMO.
Cycled media can be just placed in tank if no cycled sponge is available.

I use small HOB with sponge pre filters after week 2 when I can,but before?

So no filter yet then?
Just air stone and some filter media.

When the eggs become wigglers and free swimmers the HOB will be too strong IMO.
An air stone is used to move water around eggs,to help avoid fungus(along with MB).
Some sort of cycled media is very helpful along with Prime as most fry will not tolerate ammonia or nitrites..
I use aquatop air driven sponges in my small tanks.

aquarium sponge filter
Smaller then this^ but the same overall.

Here is my current setup Bandit. ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1449075550.898032.jpg
I am still not sure what MB is though?
Please advise.
I had one of the sponges you referred to. It is huge though being as I got it for my 90 a long time ago.
The sponge on the right is from the canister filter of the 90 and I put a new one in the 90. There are a total of 4 in the 90 so I didn't strip it.
Here's a shot of the eggs

It was cool to watch how the males would almost fight over which one was going to guard them in the 90.
If you see an issue please let me know.

Now I have a tank in 3 different rooms.
My wife is going to have a noose hanging when I get home...???
I'm telling her it was Bandit and Brookster that started it all....?

Mb is methylene blue, aids in fungus reduction I believe.
Haha sure.. blame it on your imaginary fish friends.. replace noose with straight jacket..

I have no MB.
Can I find it at PetSmart tomorrow and be OK?
Imaginary? She saw the package I received from you once and probably has your address saved...lol

I'll take the blame!!!!
You got it going on there Dale!
MB is methylene Blue.
1-3 drops per g.
H202 can be used also(1-3 ml per g).
H202 is daily,mb can be one and done.
Mb has to be removed when eggs become wigglers.
Waterchanges and carbon will help.
If the eggs and wigglers are 'good' and stay safely away the hob can run.
A sponge type prefilter will help and like the sponge filter(air) may house some food for fry??
It will keep them from getting sucked up when you use it eventually again.
I would use just air for first 2 weeks of free swimming..

I use these on my smaller HOBs
Elite Replacement Sponges (2 Pack)

Pretty sure seachem paraguard is mb, petsmart.should have that

So these are the sponges that go over a small filter system?
So I would need to get a smaller filter system and utilize this type of sponge filter over it correct?

Those are actually for old school air driven sponge units.
They fit on my Aquaclear 50s and all under easily.
For larger I just slit the sponge on the inside to allow larger tube.
Or get larger sponge.

What is the hob you have ?

Your fish are gorgeous! Lots of good info in this thread.
For the tilted sponge filter you can cut the plastic tube so that you can run it in an upright position.
My wife thinks all of you guys are imaginary.

I did the same thing by trimming the lift tube without issue...
There are a ton of imaginary knowledgeable friends here...
Wait a minute,I think my mind's playin tricks on me...

sit in silence...

I don't remember what kind but it is not a very expensive model I know. I got it with a tank I picked up.
I usually use it if I QT.
