Blue Ribbon Eel, Naughty Boy!

Well, after a whole afternoon. Of stripping down my old tank and transferring all of my live stock into a holding tank, I have just witnessed for the first time my blue ribbon eel catching one of my other fish! Quite spectacular to see actually. The fish managed to escape, I think it was a little on the large side! Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of him in the act as I couldn’t get to my phone quick enough. View attachment 1View attachment 1

You’ll need to make sure it is well fed. Any eel will make a meal if it needs to eat.

He’s certainly well fed! Cutting back slightly while they’re in the holding tank but usually gets fed every other day.

I’m not sure what the two photos are on this post, it’s not even my tank so god knows where they came from

If it’s trying to eat tankmates, it isn’t well fed. It’s hungry.
