So I am getting either a 5 gallon or a 3 gallon bow front I want a male and female betta with a mystery snail, ghost shrimp and live plants, is this good?

Combing male and female betta is not a good idea unless you're an expert on breeding them.

Go 5 gallon, but only keep one beta. Thier highly aggressive fish. They may eat your ghost shrimp.

Ok, I'll put a male crown tail n the five gallon, I'm hoping it's a 5, but it might be a 3
Have heard of some people keeping shrimp and snails with betas successfully, has anybody had any luck?

in a 3g you can't put anything else with the betta, but if you get a 5g then I suggest a few ghost shrimp! maybe 3-4! bettas don't have the best eye sight so they can't locate the ghost shrimp as easily as other more vibrant shrimp!

if you are willing to hand feed a african dwarf frog then you could have 1 in a 5g just make sure you aren't getting a african clawed frog because they'll tear bettas to pieces

That's true, ths might be a dumb question, but are different types of betas differently aggressive, if so what is less aggressive, a crown tail betta, or a veil tail?

No different type is more agressive than the other it all depends on the personality! Like one of my bettas will attack anything in his tank while my other is afraid of my finger against the glass!

My beta follows me around and get jealous of other fish and would attack them if he wasn't in a different tank

Ok, so. Guess I'm getting a crown tail, 6 dollars more than the veiled, but sure more beautiful!
Is there any way to see how aggressive a beta is in the pet store?
Sorry for the dumb Ustinov, I thought that they might have had different attitudes:/

Ok, I think this is what m getting if I get a 5 gallon
1 blue crown tail beta
3 ghost shrimp
1 black apple snail
If I get a 3 gallon
1 crown tail betta
3 ghost shrimp

Ok, thanks, I really want this cool tank, I find it pretty unique, luckily there are only 3 or 5 sizes, but the 3 gallon is 40, and the 5 is 50

Yup, it's that one, really, really like it!
Does it come with that little filter that is described in the box, or is it just the lid with LED light?

It comes with the filter. You just need a heater and you are good to go!

Edit: that second pic you have is a different type of tank. The crescent comes with an internal filter...it's the black thing on the right side of the tank in my pics. The black thing on the left is my heater.

Thanks!

It doesn't come with gravel or any decor. You get the tank, the light, the lid, the whisper filter and 1 filter cartridge. It's a decent little tank.
