Mystery snail+hex?

Hi, I have a 60 gallon hex, and I have had a mystery snail before, but he didn't do anything except hang out at the top above/in the water line, and then he died. So I was wondering why, and if I could get another mystery snail.?

If there was no water quality issue, it sounds like it was just an unhealthy snail. I see no reason not to try another.
