New betta

I just picked up a new betta today and he is super pretty and in good health. I did notice just one part of his tail is curling and split a little. It is very slight. Should I be worried about fin rot or is this normal wear and tear on the tail?

Too early to tell. Probably just some wear and tear. Possibly caused by the filter.

Just keep the water clean and it'll heal nicely.
