White worm or organism on filter

I see a lot of these white organism in my filter. See few of them on the live rocks too. I am new to saltwater. Not sure what they are... any advice will be appreciated.

From my research, it looks like they are pineapple sponges and are harmless. I am thinking of cleaning them.up from the filter though...

Looks like pineapple sponges to me. If there's a lot of particulates in the water column you'll have lots of them. They'll fade off over time.
