Sorry... haven't gotten around to that. By the time I get home from work, there's a wicked glare on the tank. I'll see what I can do this weekend...

OK... got some camera time today!

Here's the cleaner shrimp hamming it up by the Acanthastrea lordhowensis...

Here's the rock of "just a few" mushrooms, a few months later...

And here's a zoanthid colony that I'm not overly happy with. It's growing like a weed though!

Here's my latest pickup - a little rock of supposedly Sansibia, but it could be Clauvaria... not sure. That whole Sansibia/Clauvaria/Blue Xenia thing is still confusing to me, but I'm thinking this might actually be sansibia. Whatever it is, it seems happy and I'm liking it!

And here's another shot of the Stylophora with a few zoanthid polyps I picked up a while back. (And yes... I have a bubble algae issue. I know.)

Wow Kurt those are some amazing photo's I really like that shot of the cleaner shrimp you must have waited at least a few minutes to snap that one. Also is the bottom photo an SPS?

Those mushrooms look really healthy. Did it start with just 1 and spread or did you buy them all.

Actually... the cleaner shrimp was being a pest while I was trying to just get the acans. So I zoomed out a little and included him in the shot. No waiting involved.

Yeah... the stylophora is an SPS. Stylophoras are one of the lower light tolerant SPS corals. It's really high up in the tank, but still just under 200W of power compacts. I've had it since November last year, and it hasn't died on me yet. But then again, it's not really thriving either. It's put on a couple additional "nubbins" since I've gotten it, and I noticed the other day it's starting to sprout another one. But the growth rate has been pretty slow.

Those mushrooms started with just four on a single rock, back in September of last year. That clump now has spread over a couple other rocks, and I've found them floating around in my tank too. In fact, I just "stuck" one on that brown zoanthid rock. I'm thinking if I trade that colony in to the LFS, maybe having some mushrooms on it will help the trade in value.

Just a little suggestion Kurt.....if you got rid of those acan's you'd have more room. Now, just 'cause I wanna help.....I'd find a good home for them.

(psst! you think he's gonna fall for it???)

Nice pics.

When your doing a pwc, you should try to use the siphon hose to scrape some of that bubble algae away. It can become very invasive, as you are finding out.
