anacharis najas and excel

my plant seems to be turning a dark grey to grayish. is this due to excel?

Any pics Tim? That might help identify what the deficiency is. I have never heard of anubias being sensitive to excel.

not anubias(although i've lost every leave off of my Anubias barteri v angustifolia)

it's my anacharis najas.

oh my bad I misread that. Excel can cause anacharis to melt. I would suggest not using it in your tank with anacharis.

what about if i cut the dose? maybe half? i have some plants (like my babys tears and telanthera) that are THRIVING.

Yeah I think unfortunately, your anacharis will still suffer even if you cut it in half.

I found any amount of excel will kill my anacharis and vals. I use DIY CO2 in the tanks I have those in.
