What have you been using as a dechlorinator up until now? If you don't have any available at the moment, you could always fill up a bucket with tap water, let it sit over night and use that for replacement water. Better than nothing.

Unless your city uses Chloramines. Then sitting out won't make it safe.

True. Dayum them chloramines.
On the upside, this is for a PWC for a fishless cycle.

Even partial amounts count for something.
How many days are you into this cycle? It can take 4-6 weeks to complete if starting from scratch. Usually less, unless it stalls along the way.

I think it may have stalled im about 3 to 4 weeks into it and my ammonia is stuck aswell now where as before it was converting in 24 hrs x

It was converting 2-4 ppm ammonia to zero in 24 hours but not any more? I would check the pH. If it drops below a certain level (can't remember, might be 6.0) the cycle may stop completely.

Cycles doin brill ammonia still .25 and nitrites have dropped to .50 fish soon

Sent from my GT-I9195 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

Make sure you can turn 2ppm ammonia into nitrites and then nitrates in 24 hours. That is when you are considered cycled.

Good luck. Seems like you are getting close. Make sure you do a massive water change before you add fish. I did 90% change, you can do more though

Ive got a week before my prime gets here so hopefully over the next week i can finish the cycle and then do a massive change and add fish
