Found this plant washed up on shore in northern Michigan at the black lake, it is growing well in my tank but I'm not sure what it is, was wondering if anyone knew?

It is a stem plant but it's actually attached to a piece of wood if that helps
The more it grows the easier it'll get to figure it out. You can try some of these resources to get you started. You can contact the DNR, but you might want to be sure it was legally ok to collect that plant before you get in touch with them. 
. It could also be an invasive species, which is really important to report.
