White spots on plants

Hi in my fluval edge tank I have noticed that some of the live plants have large yellow dots and some of the plats that I bought that were growing on driftwood have small white dots. I don't have any fish in the aquarium what could this be.

What plants do you have in your tank?
Is your tank fully cycled?
Do you have a light?
How many watts is your light bulb?

Not sure what the plant species is but it is the ones that you buy in the driftwood, yes it does have light 2x15watt globes, and it has no fish yet.

It's about 6gallons (23L) with a black gravel substrate, by globes I mean lights.
