Hi, my name is Jes! I am new to the community so bare with me as I learn to navigate. I have two different community tanks one is 10 gallons and the other is 20 gallons. I recently got in to having fish as a pet 3 years ago, I really enjoy it! However I have recently ran into an issue with my little baby jibreel he is a regular orange platy. I have had jibreel for a year now, he has developed a spot on his tail, I am not sure what it is and have not encountered it before. His behavior has stayed pretty much the same; eats, sleeps and play just not as playful anymore. Please help, his one of my favorites.

If I did not do this forum in the right place please let me know, I just couldn’t a topic for it to fit under.

Is the picture playing a trick on me or is the "spot" bulging out quite a bit?
Looks like a tumor...not sure what else it could be. You can try to keep him comfortable as long as you can since it's not affecting him otherwise.

Yes it does, it started out small and has grew to the size it is now, I thought it was fungal so I treated him and the tank. No other fish is sick or has a bump. I was reading about black spot disease have you heard of it??

It doesn't look like black spot disease. Black spot disease is just that, small black spots. It is caused by parasites. It honestly looks like a tumor to me.
