Well my fish count dropped to 4 I have noticed my lobster gat ahold o the rest.

Cant you get another?

i don't think it's about getting another one. there's been plenty deaths in the tank and he needs to figure out why first before adding more. the cause of death could be as simple as lack of food when he was gone or something worse.

Agreed, something is wrong that the livestock are not lasting.

Wow I feel a bit dumb here. I thought you were talking about your permit to collect the animals

I believe it was lack of food. I did get some one to feed them. Next time I will feed them more.

Wait? You had a "PERMIT" in your aquarium? Or was a Hermit?

Yes, I just wanted to know to make sure. Look at my avatar to the left, that's a Permit I caught off the key's bridges when I fish for them. Now, since you want to keep things legal better read up on it. Do you know about their rules? If not, please look it up on the FWC website & don't put anymore in your aquarium.

So, you put a 22"(that's inch) from the fork length in your aquarium? You do know you are in the SPZ, right? Since you live in the keys?

His mom works for a company that study's fish and they had a few permit that gave birth so he gave me one. The holding tank they had was like 30,000 gallons and they study and breed and dissect fish.

I dont know the full details of how you even got a hold of one (Dont even want to know) even if your friend mom's works at this company that holds permit to study & now you "had" one. The responsibility that it takes to care of this fish is a whole different ball game. To even give you one is beyond me. The reason they studying these permit is cause they dont know much about them.

I'm being hard on you cause fish are dying on you watch & if you are posting in a public forum this is some of the feed back you will get at times. I thought when you started this you were heading in a nice direction but till you get things under control it's best to keep them in the sea. If you were my friend I will tell you straight up just like I did now & not sugar coat anything. Take what I said in a step forward if anything.

I didn't mean to sound defensive it just frustrates me to see such beautiful creatures pass. I really wish I knew what to do and thank you for all your advice.
