I think me as a lifelong hobbyist, and long time breeder cant help anymore. You need to understand what your doing... I foresee mass die offs soon... I hope I'm wrong and good luck.

Well I don't put them altogether inside the same tank, the neon, guppies and RCS will be in my second smaller tank.

Angelfishes, swordtails, pink danios, other mollies (my balloon mollies will be in the smaller tank as they move slower than the normal mollies), comet goldfishes (they won't grow that big so they're nothing to worry about), and lastly the rainbow shark in the large tank. I might move the comet to the pond along with the other goldfishes and koi.

The problem is... I have some fishes that I can't identify in the big tank.... They seem peaceful tho for now....

Thank you very much for all your advices. They're very different than the ones I read in many websites which say all fishes are "peaceful" lol xD.

Yes, I will do research on their behaviors, and pick the fishes that I want to breed and probably sell in the future.

Another molly just died (luckily only one). The only one I can think about is the GBRs and Labs, as they also hide in the same place as the mollies (which was called 'corals' by the shopkeeper since they always hide beneath the rocks).

Thank you for verification!!!:nono:

I concur with what everyone else has said. You need to do research on these fish before you buy them. I have 9 tanks, 200+ gallons total, and I couldn't house all the fish you have right now. Compatibility problems, tank size problems... I really think you should return these fish to the store and come up with a new appropriate stocking plan and stick to it.

I thought I say the comet goldfish stays small, not the common goldfish... I don't know anything about common goldfish :V (strangely it is common :V)

And besides, smaller the tank, slower the growth rate (at least that's what some people said to me).

Yea, actually I'm not the one with stocking problem. I do research before I buy fish. You should tell that to my father who just buy anything he likes in the store xD.

It's like, whenever I go to the store with him, I was buying some rocks or plants and stuff, but his eyes just stick to those fishes... And he usually end up buying more than 1 species at a time....

I'll record my tank now and share it here... I need some advice on how to group them and advice on how much tank should I have....

Comets and common are the same thing. Comets is their name but they are what's known as the "common goldfish" because they are mass sold everywhere.

given enough water changes growth rate can be the same as a larger tank.

I believe that is also called stunting which is not a favorable condition.
I would not listen to folks that provide this kind of advice.
About the uncontrolled fish purchasing issue, we really cannot help with that. You need to have a firm understanding of what the requirements are for what you wish to keep and this will help you explain to your father why it is not advisable to simply buy anything that catches his eye.

Can you list all the fish you have and the quantity? Then we can be able to figure out something.

Also to answer the original question, GBR and EBR are the exact same fish, just 1 is selectively bred to look different. So same level of "aggression"(they are not really aggressive....)

Oh and by the way , your Angels will grow big too, want to breed , and become aggressive towards themselves and the other fish, my GBR was wounded then died from one of them.

Agreed. All that is left is to buy another tank(s). Thank you very much for all your knowledges and advices :)

I truly appreciate it

That would take time.... And I also have fishes that I can't identify just yet... So maybe tomorrow, it's late in my country now...

Oh... So they're the same?? Hmm... Can't wait for them to grow big then xD

Actually I call the other one common gold fish because I can't identify what kind of goldfish is it. It's tail not long like comets so definitely not comets.... Maybe I can get help on identifying this goldfish too xD

Oh what about Fantails and Oranda, how big will they get?? (Just curious)

lololololol, I just realized the gallons we used here is US gallons... Which is less than 4 liters. I'm using my gallon which is 16 liters each, so the 10 gallons tank should be around 160 liters.

Is it really that small for that many fish, Poppa?
