Does glossy take more coats than flat?

shouldnt... its just glossy where flat is, well, flat

I practiced on some clear plastic and it takes quite a few coats and some times I'll spray it and it would smear some of the old paint revealing the plastic.

make sure you spray light coats and let it get tacky in between.... it may look like pepper on the glass on the first coat, but that will help prevent runs and smearing

and dont stick your finger in it while its wet... you dont want your finger print on the back glass lol

by tacky do you mean like where its not fully dry but enough to be (look) sticky and not wet

yes... its best to wait until then, but not until it dries all together

ok, about how long do you think tht would take?

it really all depends on the humidity and the temperature of the room... it could be as few as 10 minutes, to as much as a few hours... you will be able to tell a big difference in the paint, it will get a "haze" on it, then it should be ready for the next coat

btw, dont do it outside... as cold as it is, the paint will probably run alot and wont stick right and will take forever to dry...

i dont know? lol... do you have a heated garage? ive painted stuff in the house before in front of a fan pointing out a window... but i doubt your mom would appreciate that.

I don't have a garage period, and I wouldn't want to get paint on the floor or anything. Any other suggestions?

not really... only thing i could think would be to brush it on, but that might get some brush marks on it.. hmmm

Well it's ready to be painted for whenever I do it. Already put tape and plastic on it.

Go into the bathroom, turn the fan on, go buy some Kaboom, (cause it takes paint off stuff) or put sime garbage bags down. You can replace a shower curtain easier than you can replace carpet, tile or linoleum.

By turn the fan do you mean a fan blowing the air out of the bathroom?

she means the vent fan if you have one... that takes the bad smells out when people use the bathroom...

I have one of those. It's not the best but if I close the door it should work ok.
