New iPhone shots from a few minutes ago. First shot shows some orange zoas under Chinese LEDs. Later tonight I will post a picture of the same zoas under full spectrum LED. Both are on the same water system.

Fantastic! I just read the whole thing! I like the frag posters in your fish room!
What is your business? Guessing it has something to do with fish?

Well that sounds pretty cool too.
In the 22 years of having your tank, what is the worst thing that has happened to it? I'm always paranoid about my tanks.

The chiller died about 9 years ago and I was too broke at the time to replace it, and this was before LEDs. It was a hot summer and even with air conditioning the MH lights pushed the tank up into the mid to high 80's. I watched as tons of coral died in front of me. It was a disaster, but I saved a bunch of it, finally got a new chiller and everything has been fine since then.

Previous to that I had two 55 gallon tanks in the 80's, one a reef and one fish only. Constantly had tangs with Ich. Killed too many fish before my mind got control of my ego.

Wow! For a tank that size, that is a lot of heat to get it that high. I worry about my heaters, don't have a chiller (my husband is an AC nut, always cold in our house). I hope someday I can have a tank like yours! Thanks for sharing.

....sometimes the best lessons we learn are from the events that kick our butts.

After all this time, all I have to offer is the fact that not much of what gets posted hasn't happened to us all at one time or the other. Reefing seems to be about consistency and staying between the lines.

Some rare shots of my engineer goby pair.

Really awesome fish! I lost my engineer goby. :/ do you think they do better in pairs?

Not sure. I had trouble with young ones eating. They seem to get over that problem when they get big. I have to feed mine right in front of their dens as they rarely free swim.

Amen to that Greg. I haven't seen too much of anything posted regarding fish (fresh and salt) and or reefs that I haven't dealt with in one form or another over the past 48 years. You said the magic word "Consistency"! Animals just don't like change all that much.
What a beautiful tank. (y) Makes me want to get out of my mobile and buy a house so I can re set up my tanks. My easy chair only sees a TV :( :D
