I got new camera - nikon coolpix sd4000 - and more plants . Not in pic was java fern. I got 3 of those two for my 5 gal, and one for the 55gal.

Got some algae eating fish(3) - they only grow to be 1.5", for my 5 gal... and they are FEASTING!

Which is good since it def needed some control since ghost shrimp have died off.

Are they doing good heard you should have them in a tank no less then 20gallons

Oto's only grow to 1.5" to 2", I had a ton of algae and it needed cleaned and these guys are only like 1inch to 1.5 inches. They really work on algae! The 5 gal was cleaned up by these 3 in lil over a day, which blew me away lol. Once my 55 gal is up im going to be moving the 3 tiger barbs and 2 of the oto's. Looking to do that when i get back from vacation. I picked up a big power strip that's got a timer on it and i have both tanks lights on it. So i don't have to worry about turning lights on and off lol.

What did you use for the moss wall? thinking about doing something similar...

Plastic fence... lowes garden center. Left over from making a screen for my jeep to protect from rocks lol

Algae eaters

Really nice tank!

I have a question: Ottos are good algae eaters? I have Siamese algae eaters and look like they are good also.
In your opinion for a small tank (26G) which algae eater will be better?

Never had a siamese, but these Oto's are great. 1.99$ each at that.

Moved over two of the three oto's and the last ghost shrimp into the 55gal to control some of the algae/diatom growth taking place since the water is OK to stock

A moss wall...is thatwhat that is? I've been meaning to ask you about that. Could you share a little more about that and take some pics of it to post/?

Followed these roughly:
Aquatic Moss. How to Create a Moss Wall. Create backdrop using aquatic moss. How to grow Aquatic Moss. Info on Java Moss, Christmas Moss, Taiwan Moss, Peacock Moss, Stringy Moss

I took two bits the height of my tank and then zip tied two of the edges to make a book... layered in the moss then zip tied all around to close it in. Then jammed it into the substrate and pinned the top with my hood.

But where is the Moss Wall in your tank? I re-looked through the pictures and didn't see it. Did I miss anything?

Oh, hah, that's okay. I thought I was going crazy! All this talk of a moss wall covering the back of your tank and I didn't see it in the pics, LOL.

EDIT: I see you've edited and added in the pic. Very cool! It's a great idea and I'm sure it will look very nice when the moss grows in even more.
