What are your dimensions on the tank and are you going for highlight or medium light?

I always use Finnex FUGEray Planted+ on my tanks and if you want a serious co2 system, go to greenleafaquariums.com

Message me for other co2 solutions as well

+1 on the Finnex fugeray Planted + It's relatively affordable and quality.

Co2 i went with a 10# GLA single stage with an Ista Mix Max reactor.
I bought the GLA system on Craigslist for a good discount.

This is what Finnex did for me.

CO2 was added 2 weeks ago.

Prior to that I was using Seachem dosing regimen including excel.

I now use PPS pro.

Tank is 3.5 months old

Hey matty, how tall is the tank? what's your budget on gas and lighting?

i believe its like 3.5 feet long by 2 feet high and 1.5 foot deep. around that. and my budget is about 200-300 for everything.

Well that's a tough one..24 " is mighty high.. you could start with finnex ray 2 and a aquatek premium regulator with paintball adapter, you can upgrade to a bigger tank and add another light when you have some extra cash. You could also run a t5ho, cheaper initial cost but greater long term cost. I'm a fan of leds though..

Yeah I definitely prefer LED. I mean it might actually be 1.5' deep I'm not 100%

either way a ray2 will do you well.. adding a planted plus or one of the new finnex fixtures coming out at a later date is always an option.
