Hey I have a solution to your fish catching problem.
1. take a clear soda or juice container and cut a circle in the top big enough to let the fish in.
2. Cut a second circle around that hole 1 1/2-2inches below it on the bottle.
3. Replace top upside down making a fish trap.
Lets fish in and cant get out until they are let out by removing the top.
4. Submerge under water and place bottle in a path the fish is likely to swim.
5.Use a net or your hand to chase the desired fish in the trap once underwater.
*note- let the fish out as soon as you have it in the container and its where you want it. This trap system confuses large fish so it may stress a bit. I use it all the time to switch fish tanks. You must be fast to ensure stress is minimum.
Here is a picture of mine
Make sure the top is removable so you.can get the fish out.
