What about half an inch in the front, moving towards the back. I wanted it to have live plants. How to go about that?

Depends on what critter you are going to get. Tree frogs and anoles will want more ground and tall plants with less water while fire bellies will want more water with some ground cover. I would research what critter you are capable of housing and then build your habitat around the critters needs.

Fire belly toads are great, if it is in the 90 gallon, heck, you can put 20 if you want, very nice, you will likely have breeding
