Another heater ?

I'm trying to battle ich and I have my heater maxed out and it's only up to like 82 ish could I add another heater ?

What size tank is it? 2 heaters won't hurt. I use 2.

How high do you wanna raise your temp?

I'm estimating you're heater is approximately 50-75 watts. You would need 150 watts in total to heat the whole aquarium. So a few heaters won't disturb anything.

That's the truth. Maybe it's malfunctioning. Also what type of thermometer are you using? I highly recommend Top Fin digital. HUKIT told me a out them and I'll NEVER use another. Spot on and cheap. Also comes with a replacement battery. Saves ya money right there.

Oh I should be fine then BUT there's always a chance a bad one in the batch.

No, it might just be you're heater just malfunctioning to get it to it's max capability's. It isn't fully nonfunctional.

A way you can test it is.... Get your thermometer and test it against a bucket of water
