Aquarium Advice Addict
i live in Minnesota and today i took my students to Underwater Adventures, it is in the Mall of America. they have a decent Shark/Stingray tank, you walk though underneath in a tunnel, a reef tank and also a Mississippi river tank with sturgeon, gars and catfish. they have a couple of small reef tanks and some small native fish tanks. biggest disappointment was there "amazon tanks" one was only around 125 gallons containing some eartheaters and a couple species of tetra, then they had a larger "pond" with freshwater stingrays and some kind of pirahna-like fish i was not familiar with.
the Minnesota Zoo has a decent shark tank and reef fish tank. and in Duluth, MN there is a large-ish aquarium that keeps native fish...
i have seen a couple of video of Lake Malawi tanks online... but i do not know where those aquariums are located to see it in real life.
where are there some really good public aquariums?
i would really love to see a large Amazon tank... something over 10,000 gallons
